RED is the collaboration between upcoming DJ duo and Cream residents Ed Mackie and Rob Harnetty. Making their debut last year when they were called to perform together on the North Main Stage at Creamfields 2015, they immediately began working together as the next powerhouse duo.

With years of combined experience in the industry, the guys have separately achieved great success, lighting up dancefloors across the world. Joining forces this year RED have already secured bookings  some of Europe’s most exciting events as well as spending time in the studio, with some huge tracks dropping in 2016. The duo have announced their first single ‘Back in the Day’ and are working to release an upcoming EP.

Rob Harnetty is one of the UK’s rising stars on the DJ circuit, with his talents recognised by global clubbing brand Cream in 2008. Rob was signed as one of their official residents joining the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Nick Warren, Seb Fontaine and Gareth Wyn in this highly coveted roster. Since then Rob has traveled the world performing alongside the likes of Paul van Dyk, Armin van Burren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta, Eddie Halliwell and Ferry Corsten to name a few.

Ed Mackie is a Cream resident, playing Creamfields Festival, Cream Tours and their Liverpool events. Ed has had a great DJ history as former resident at Sankeys in Manchester and Mint Club in Leeds, as well as performances at Atomic Jam, Space Ibiza and Radio 1’s Big Weekend party. Ed has also had sets on tour dates held by Cocoon, M_Nus, Meganite and Ministry of Sound. The former Mixmag Future Hero spent his last summer in Ibiza spinning at Forbidden with Mixmag at super club Eden. His chameleon-like DJ skills see him not only play alongside the electronic DJ elite, but he has been called into action to warm up for artists such as Zane Lowe, Professor Green & Jaguar Skills.

Naturally bringing together creative ideas they infuse a unique and hybrid sound both from their roots and current house music. Pushing the boundaries with their sound, they draw inspiration from the likes of Danny Howard, Annie Mac and Green Velvet and have the ability to take control of the dancefloor.  Their energetic live sets blend together different genres, from heavy house beats to electronic sounds. The future is definitely bright for this promising pair with their new release ‘Back in the Day’ hotly tipped for 2016, RED are setting the dance scene ablaze.
