Whilst working on his massively anticipated E.P ‘YOB CULTURE’ which is due to drop this year Mic has been performing tirelessly all over the south of England inc. opening for Immortal Technique in Elephant and Castle and BBC Electric proms (which featured on BBC ASIAN NETWORK).

Mic has been working on other big collaborations. One of these projects is one with a band called Mongrol with all-star members from bands such as the Arctic Monkeys, Babyshambles and Reverend And The Makers. This also led to Mic featuring on Lowkey’s ‘Dear Listener’ L.P which is out in stores now.

As well as radio, GOLDIEROCKS performs at endless festivals worldwide including Creamfields, V, Leeds, Secret Garden Party and Bestival to name a mere handful. Then, more unusual venues might be Soviet bunkers in Kazakhstan, inside igloo discos in Austria and then on slightly more luxurious super yachts in Monaco. She also has her own self-titled London club night and has been the official red carpet presenter at the BRIT awards for the past two years running. No wonder The Evening Standard said of her, “she could be the most influential woman in pop.”

She had the honour of performing a 90 minute set at the Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony which was televised on C4. With a crowd of 80,000 people with millions watching at home, it was one of many career highlights for Ms Hall.

Verge Magazine, the UK’s biggest national student title, asked Sam to be their new music editor and culture columnist. She’ll be writing about all the new music trends emerging around the world plus the best nights to shake a tail feather at and the coolest venues slightly off the beaten track. They are as comfortable in Morocco, as a guest of the king, performing before 90,000 people, as they are in a Berlin basement performing for 90. For them, in music and in life, it’s the differences that make the difference, whether it be a 1950′s Italian folk song, juxtaposed with a fruity techno beat (go on, you know the one), or dinner in Monaco one day, Berghain the next, Johnson and Sylvester have had a pretty good couple of years touring the world. They have been to places they can’t pronounce, and places they never dreamt they would, they have their own boat party at WMC which is on the “not to be missed list,” but along the way, they came up with the concept for their debut album, “Ladies and Mentalmen.” Out at the end of November on their home label Sweat It Out, with a slate of international label releases to follow, their album is a showcase of their love for diversity and juxtaposition, inclusion and craziness, it features knowns and unknowns, it ranges from 70 bpms to 128, and as they like to say, it’s for everyone, from ladies, to mentalmen.

With over a decade of Djing under their belts, and musical influences that extend far beyond their native Sydney, from old school hip hop, to Chicago house, to techno to pretty much everything in between. Bondi beach locals at heart, tho they have spent more time living in Berlin and Ibiza these past years, when they are not in the studio or playing at the biggest clubs and festivals in the world, you’ll find them at the beach catching waves. This year you can catch them at Glass Butter Beach, doing just what they love!

Last summer was a busy festival season for the band. They played Bestival, Secret Garden Party, Isle Of Wight, Glade, Beat Herder, Dot To Dot and a few more. They played to 1000 fans at Club NME at Koko at the end of summer – an incredible night and not one person left the venue unconverted. They released Sing With Your Feet, a track aimed squarely at the dance floor, at the end of the year. It gained support from Pete Tong, Annie Mac, B Traits, Rob Da Bank, The Magician, Aeroplane, Jaques Lu Cont, and many others, both here in the UK and abroad.

Bunkered down at their studio in the countryside outside of Bristol, the band have been busy writing and recording their debut album over winter. All the memories and experiences of the last few years are crystalizing into what will be one of the stand out records of the year. In the coming months expect to hear some new music from The Other Tribe, ready for their best festival season yet.

The Other Tribe over the last two and a half years, have awed audiences at raves, warehouse parties, gigs and festivals. From the start, their live show had people talking. This wasn’t a band you could stand still too, but one you got involved with, danced with, and became part of. Part live band, part DJ set – live dance music, utterly compelling and completely addictive. Their song ‘SKIRTS’, their anthem to warm days; partying; and yes, girls in skirts, was released at the end of summer last year. It won the band legions of new fans and when it was released it smashed in to the national singles chart: no mean feat for a band’s debut single.

Mic Righteous is tipped to be the hottest up and coming young star in the U.K hip-hop scene. Hi recent singles Ghost Town & next single Up All Night have received massive air play & rave reviews from all the big radio stations.
